Ticketing

Enter the fast lane – buy tickets to the 2022 Dunedin Midwinter Carnival now – 8 & 9 July

An entry fee of $5 per person has been introduced for the 2022 event and there will be a priority lane for those with tickets. Please note there are no ticket refunds due to non-attendance or poor weather (we will be going ahead regardless!).

Two exceptions to the entry fee are:

  • Children under three are free
  • Children who make a lantern at our workshops, e.g. one free entry per lantern made

To reduce overcrowding we have created three ticket options: 6:00pm, 7:00pm & 8:00pm. There are limited tickets for each session and people can stay as long as they like.

We have extended the event hours to 11pm on Saturday 9th July to allow those attending the All Blacks vs Ireland rugby game some post-match entertainment.

We are also partnering with Heart Kids Otago on Carnival night to highlight the work they do in the community. We are offering our audience the chance to donate to them when they purchase tickets.

Pay-it-Forward Option – now closed sorry

A Pay-It-Forward ticket is available for those who wish to gift tickets to community support agencies to distribute to families they work with. The organisations include Presbyterian Support Otago, Pacific Trust, Te Hou Ora Whanau Services, New Zealand Red Cross, and Anglican Family Care. Pay-It-Forward tickets can be purchased up until 30 June.
