We made it to our new lantern home in North East Valley. What a weekend! Huge thanks to all the volunteers and trustees that gave us their time and support - couldn't have done it without you! And we had great weather which helped. Now we have a huge job to get all the lanterns and costumes organised, shelved and in the best place for future events. We will be calling out for support so lots of opportunities coming up if you'd like to see how it all works behind the scenes! 🙏👌
This weekend the Carnival is moving warehouses - it's an epic undertaking with hundreds of lanterns, costume boxes, materials, and a host of other stuff. Yes we need help! If you can lend a hand then we would love to hear from you - message us or email volunteer.midwinter@gmail.com. ![]()

Next week our current warehouse is being bowled and replaced with apartments. Goodbye Caversham - hello North East Valley industrial estate!
