Giant Lantern Bearers
Carry a giant lantern in the Carnival Procession.
Procession Guides
Help keep the Carnival Procession safe and in order.
Gate Keepers
This involves sorting people into the procession order.
Programme Distributors/Donation Collectors
Distribute Carnival night programmes and collect donations for next year's event.
Crowd Safety Marshals
Keep people off the road and respond to any emergency.
Make-up and Costuming
Help get performers ready and looking beautiful.
Carnival Volunteers Wanted
Every year we need scores of volunteers to help make the Carnival happen. Volunteering is fun and means you get to be part of a truly unique event. The Midwinter Carnival is looking for volunteers to help run our annual lantern making workshops and the Carnival itself. We need dozens of volunteers for this wonderful community event. Come to our Volunteer Meeting and find out how you can help.
